Apple of My Eye - Cat & the Fiddle“Apple of My Eye” gourmet cheesecake, a Mother’s Day special item from online patisserie Cat & the Fiddle. Essentially an apple pie which randomly fell from the clouds and conveniently plopped onto a cheesecake cushion with a digestive biscuit base. The apple chunks were not of the gooey variety but were rambunctious runts, all crunchy with good bite. The pie crumbs were soft and buttery, while the moussey cheesecake tasted like a lightly sour yogurt, with a texture somewhere between whipped cream and soft serve. Should easily and permanently dispel any notion that all cheesecakes are hard, American-style and cheesy affairs. 4/5
