Basil sorbet, strawberries, sweet tomato, yuzu yogurt and black pepper meringue. The marquee name essentially tastes like a bitter and smooth ball of blended grass. The succulent strawberries and sweet tomatoes lend their sweetness to balance out the sorbet’s bitterness, while the yogurt was sour and ever so slightly tart. The brown swirls around the plate are actually black pepper meringue, which tastes like popcorn! Half the fun of having this dessert was trying to scrape the meringue off the plate in as poised and dignified a manner as possible in front of the glamorous-looking Ang Mohs around. 3.9/5
