In October 2024, The Ascott Limited (Ascott), the lodging business unit wholly owned by CapitaLand Investment (CLI), announced a global brand partnership between its Citadines brand and ClassPass, a monthly subscription service providing members access to the world’s largest fitness platform. As part of the partnership, guests of Citadines properties who are members of Ascott’s global loyalty platform, Ascott Star Rewards (ASR) will enjoy upsized ClassPass new member benefits during a two-month campaign from 15 October and 14 December 2024 across various markets in Asia Pacific, France and the United Kingdom.
For the uninitiated, Ascott’s diversified accommodation offerings span serviced residences, co-living properties and hotels, with hospitality brands such as award-winning hospitality brands include Ascott, lyf, Oakwood, Citadines, Somerset and The Crest Collection within its portfolio. Through Ascott Star Rewards, members enjoy exclusive privileges and offers at participating properties (which include Ascott Orchard Singapore, lyf Funan Singapore and Citadines Raffles Place Singapore).
As part of the Citadines x Classpass partnership, Citadines guests who are not existing ClassPass members can enjoy a complimentary one-month membership to enjoy fitness classes at different studios, gyms and wellness centres using the Classpass platform. Following this campaign, more Citadines properties across the Asia-Pacific will gradually be added to the ClassPass app, where fitness facilities such as the pool and gym will be made available for booking by ClassPass members.
In recent years, ClassPass has been instrumental in providing Singaporeans casual drop-in access to spin studios as well as buzzy fitness studios such as REVL and Division Athletics without the commitment of a full membership/class package.
