IHG Hotels & Resorts and Hotel Properties Limited (HPL) have announced their partnership to launch the first voco hotel in South East Asia in January 2022. The 423-room voco Orchard Singapore will rebrand from Hilton Singapore, the iconic Orchard Road property which has experienced a recent resurgence in popularity due to its Foodie Staycations.
This exciting development follows last year’s announcement that Mandarin Orchard Singapore will be rebranded as Hilton Singapore Orchard, Hilton’s flagship hotel in Singapore and its largest in the Asia-Pacific. This rebrand is also scheduled to take place in 2022.

Launched in 2018, the premium voco brand quickly reached the milestone of 50 signed and opened hotels in more than 20 countries, marking IHG’s fastest-ever global expansion. Originating from Latin, voco means ‘to invite’ and ‘call together’ which perfectly represents its thoughtful and playful nature, and an ability to offer meaningful connections. Amidst the pandemic last year, IHG reported an increase in conversion activity with 25% of the company’s signings reported as such – 13% of which were to voco.
Across the Asia Pacific, voco Orchard Singapore will join other voco properties in Australia and China, with further openings scheduled for Vietnam, Thailand, South Korea, New Zealand and Saipan. It will be IHG’s 12th hotel in Singapore and its seventh brand in the country where it joins Regent, InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Hotel Indigo, Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express.
