THE HILTON SINGAPORE EXPERIENCE

One needs to know that rooms in the entry Deluxe Room category have not been updated quite as recently as the Premium Room and Executive Suite categories. If you prefer a modern and well-furnished guest room experience, you should most definitely pay an additional supplement on top of the package to upgrade from the basic Deluxe Room to one of the aforementioned rooms – the former comes with a refurbished walk-in marble rainfall shower while the latter comes with a bathtub and private steam room.

Additionally, staying at an Executive Suite gives you access to the Executive Lounge. Now in a reduced format due to current safe distancing measures, lounge guests can enjoy one hour of free-flow spirits, beers and wine to go with the trays of canapes – think salad, fried noodles, yam bun, chicken baskets and carrot cake squares – which are served right to your table. At point of check-in, you will have to indicate in advance your choice of either the 5.30-6.30pm time-slot or the 6.30-7.30pm time-slot for your use of the executive lounge.

Of course, Hilton Honors Diamond members can get their usual complimentary access to the Executive Lounge if they book a Foodie Staycation stay package, although they are likely to be upgraded only up to the hotel’s Executive Plus rooms with balconies.

All Foodie Staycation packages come with daily a la carte breakfast for two at Opus Bar & Grill. In terms of wellness, the rooftop swimming pool plays it all Jumeirah-esque in its desert stylings and the fitness centre is possibly the most spacious and well-equipped gym along Orchard Road.

PROSECCO, SEAFOOD & VALRHONA ALL CHOCOLATE HIGH TEA SET STAYCATION

The main event of the Prosecco, Seafood & Valrhona All-Chocolate High Tea Set Staycation is…well…all those things coming together in one afternoon high tea bonanza at Opus Bar & Grill. The high tea experience comes with the following inclusions:

Valrhona All-Chocolate Sweets:
Yuzu Chocolate Macarons
Caramelita Chocolate Tart
Raspberry Chocolate Praline
Double Chocolate Cake
Chocolate Chip Scones With Chocolate Clotted Cream
Chocolate Bomb Fondue with Marshmallows, Strawberries, Speculoos & Waffles

Savoury Light Bites:
Norwegian Smoked Salmon, Dill Sour Cream on Focaccia
Mini Crispy Rockling Fish Slider with Bell Pepper Jam
Crab Salad, Sweet Corn & Avocado Roulade,
Herb Blinis with Marinated Prawns & Tomato Salsa

Premium Mixed Cold Seafood Platter with Mignonette & Cocktail Sauce:
Maine Lobster
Freshly Shucked Oysters
Tiger Prawns
Black Mussels

Beverages:
Hot Chocolate
A choice of Black Coffee or TWG English Breakfast tea per person
A bottle of Prosecco

It is really quite a melting pot of dining experiences within one seating – the chocolate bomb fondue evokes memories of uninhibited childhood chocolate indulgences, the mixed cold seafood platter and bottle of prosecco offer a suitably adult counterpoint with its Sunday brunch stylings while the little bites and sweets lend that quintessential afternoon tea flavour.
