Accor brings its offbeat 25hours lifestyle brand to Indonesia with the launch of 25hours Hotel Jakarta The Oddbird on 22 November 2024. For the uninitiated, 25hours Hotels currently operate 16 hotels globally, and the Jakarta property is the brand’s first Asia outpost, and only its second outside Europe. My most recent stay at the 25hours Hotel Florence Piazza San Paolino was a particularly memorable one, characterized by its provocative urban location (formerly a monastery complex) with playful, quirky and beautifully-designed interiors.

Located in the heart of the Sudirman Central Business District (SCBD) within District 8, the property rises 38 stories above ASHTA Mall in the Senopati district, one of the city’s popular business and lifestyle destination. Other notable properties in the area include The Langham, Jakarta, The Ritz-Carlton, Jakarta and Alila SCBD Jakarta. Nearby shopping and dining destinations include Pacific Place Jakarta and Grand Indonesia.

Drawing inspiration from the neighborhood’s original conception as a garden city within a city, the hotel offers 210 lush Garden rooms and retro Urban rooms, each furnished with original vintage mid-century pieces and curated local and international art, evoking both nostalgia and the fleeting nature of time, as well as 135 serviced apartments, 11 creative lounges and a ballroom.

The Gigantic Garden rooms offer a spacious, stylish space, featuring separate living and sleeping areas, a 55″ smart TV, a king-size bed, complimentary Wi-Fi and minibar, coffee and tea capsules, plus a shower and bathtub with city views. A Canvasco bag for shopping or a Schindelhauer bike are available for guests to explore the city at no extra charge.

For a vastly different experience, the Large Urban rooms exude retro charm with inspiring art, vibrant decor and skyline views. A Freitag bag is available for guests to use when touring the city and a vinyl player offers guests the luxury of enjoying classic tunes in the room.

Co-working spaces with a maxi bar, along with uniquely themed meeting rooms, cater to those embracing hustle culture. All the public areas will be furnished with an eclectic mix of original mid-century modern pieces. Vida Spa offers a tranquil retreat and world of wellness, connected to an outdoor infinity pool on the 9th floor.

Guests can take a culinary journey at COPA, with Latin American dishes crafted by Executive Chef Matias Mardones from Chile; savour cocktails at THE ODDBIRD BAR headed by Marcello Monte from Argentina; or relax by the pool enjoying plant-based food in CABANA orchestrated by the renowned Andrew Yap (previously from The Old Man Bar Singapore, a fixture in the top 50 Asia and World’s Best Bars). Two more Food & Beverage rooftop concepts are slated to be announced in Q1 2025.
