In November 2023, I checked into the One-Bedroom Premier at Fraser Residence River Promenade, Singapore, a riverfront serviced residence along Jiak Kim Street which offers 72 fully-furnished luxurious serviced apartments for both short and long-term stays. Occupying the exact space where the iconic Zouk nightclub once stood, the property is located in the peaceful and upscale Robertson Quay residential area known for its extensive dining and recreation options. Guests are just steps away from Havelock and Great World MRT Stations as well as Great World shopping mall and Zion Riverside Food Centre; Marina Bay Sands and the Central Business District are just a 10-minute drive away; and you can access Changi Airport in less than 30 minutes by car.
Other notable serviced apartments in the vicinity include Fraser Residence Orchard Singapore, Fraser Place Robertson Walk Singapore, Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Orchard Singapore, Ascott Orchard Singapore and Winsland Serviced Suites by Lanson Place.

FRASER RESIDENCE RIVER PROMENADE, SINGAPORE
Launched in September 2023, Fraser Residence River Promenade, Singapore is Frasers Hospitality’s sixth serviced residence in Singapore, with the last opening being Fraser Residence Orchard Singapore in 2019. Designed by award-winning architecture firm SCDA (who designed The Sanya EDITION, Park Hyatt Maldives and the nearby InterContinental Singapore Robertson Quay with which the serviced residence shares much design DNA), the property is part of an integrated precinct which comprises adjacent luxurious residential development, Rivière as well as a newly-built, low-rise modern structure connected to three conserved warehouses built in 1919 which used to house the iconic Zouk nightclub, a familiar and (maybe not always) fond destination for many former party animals in Singapore. The apartments are situated within the new building, while the warehouses – airy spaces boasting 11.6m-high ceilings – are where the reception, lounge and event spaces as well as future lifestyle concepts are located.
Apartment categories include the Studio Deluxe (24sqm), Studio Executive (24sqm), Studio Premier (32sqm), One Bedroom Deluxe (40sqm), One Bedroom Executive (40sqm) and One Bedroom Premier (48sqm). Wellness facilities include a state-of-the-art gym and a ground level swimming pool with daybeds for your sun worship purposes.
One of the serviced residence’s most notable features is The Living Room, the luxuriously appointed lounge which is accessible by in-house guests across all apartment categories. With artworks by local artists adorning its walls, the lounge comprises sofa seating as well as communal and dining tables based on your requirements, with power outlets present in abundance. The Living Room offers a variety of daily complimentary food presentations, including a buffet breakfast and evening cocktails and canapes.
A complimentary shuttle service connects residents to Great World, Frasers Suites Singapore as well as Orchard Road.
ONE BEDROOM PREMIER
Located on the ground level, the 48sqm One Bedroom Premier overlooks the sleepy, verdant proceedings along the scenic Singapore River through floor-to-ceiling windows in both the bedroom and living room.
The suite features a fully-equipped kitchen with a dining table and Electrolux appliances, including an in-unit washer/dryer and combination oven. A Delonghi vintage kettle is available for your TWG tea needs, and instead of the ubiquitous Nepresso machine, the coffeemaker of choice is The Morning Machine, an impressive device compatible with Nespresso pods which offers barista professional, sophisticated functionalities such as water temperature calibration and pressure profiling. The display interface feels appealingly futuristic (you see the temperature level rise, and the machine says things like “pre-infusion” and “blooming”), and the machine chirps a happy tune and “Enjoy!” appears on the screen when your drink is done.
Elsewhere, the living room has a Sterra air purifier, comprehensive home entertainment system with a 55″ Samsung TV and Bang & Olufsen Bluetooth speaker as well as Italian designer furnishings which feels expensive upon touch. Premium filtered water is dispensed from a tap next to the sink. The lamp next to the sofa has adjustable lighting levels for you to achieve your desired lighting atmosphere. The front desk also offers various potted plants (each bears a name) for your adoption during the stay, and I did find that Ariana and Danielle livened up the living room with their vibrant perkiness.
The bedroom has an open concept wardrobe and a bedside wireless charger, while the sexy bathroom plays it all grey and black textures with a double vanity sink, a Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer and spacious rain shower. Bath amenities are courtesy from cosmetic cult brand 19-69.
The suite offers different experiences at different times of the day. The morning sun streams in, making for quite a dreamy, calming setting for sipping coffee whilst staring out at fit joggers and expats walking their dogs against the lush greenery backdrop. Before turning in for the night, I quite enjoyed turning down the lights and (almost voyeuristically) enjoying a glass of wine as I observed the quiet, peaceful park setting and the happy families and couples on dates strolling by.
THE LIVING ROOM
As mentioned, The Living Room offers a variety of daily complimentary food presentations. For breakfast, coffee and tea are served alongside fruits, cereals and a buffet spread of dishes such as Tuna Puff, Potato and Carrot Croissant, Chicken Ham Croissant, Belgian Waffles Apple Strudel.
In the evening, the lounge serves a variety of Oxford Landing wines (pro tip: go for the Chardonnay) and an assortment of spirits. The food selection changes daily – I had a variety of open-face sandwiches, Fried Chicken, Teriyaki Chicken Sliders, New York Sliders and Mushroom Sliders. This property’s lounge is notably the only one amongst Fraser Hospitality’s various serviced residences which offers evening cocktails.
CONCLUSION
This was my first ever ground level serviced apartment experience, and the dreamy riverfront setting was something I enjoyed tremendously. Compared to my stay at the Fraser Residence Orchard Singapore, the experience here feels more private and laid-back, and the fantastic location gives easy access to not just an abundance of F&B options but also wellness experiences such as yoga and spin studios. Perfect for those who seek a restful recharge.
