Mille-feuille - Henri CharpentierMille-feuille with strawberries, strawberry sorbet and strawberry consomme from Henri Charpentier. Essentially tai yang bing (太陽餅) gone all Elizabeth Bathory – y’know, the Countess who bathed in her servant girls’ blood to sustain her youthful appearance. The consomme is pure, thick, sweet strawberry goodness, and the mille-feuille is truly spoon-cuttable as advertised, but it gets a bit samey after a while…unless you love strawberries, in which case welcome to Fun Dazzle. 3.8/5

Shawn is a full-time lawyer based in Singapore. Neither a professional critic, blogger nor photographer, Shawn is simply somebody who loves food and luxury hotels very much and (likes to think that he has) a quirky sense of humor. When Shawn is not premature ageing and turning his hair further grey due to stress and vicious deadlines, he is somewhere spending an exorbitant amount of money trying out new dining places and hotels.
