Waffle with blueberry and strawberry ice cream from Brownice. The waffle was as humble as a bespectacled, holey singlet-wearing ten-year-old who helps his father out at a char kway teow stall at Whampoa Drive Food Centre, while the vegan, organic ice cream was surprisingly enjoyable – the blueberry was like nicely blended blueberry mush, whilst the more flamboyant strawberry was the right balance of tarty sour and sweet. 3.7/5
