In February 2026, I checked into the King Bed (Park View) at Andaz One Bangkok. Launched in December 2025, Andaz One Bangkok is the second Andaz branded hotel in Thailand after Andaz Pattaya. Located on the historic Wireless Road which once housed Thailand’s first radio telegraph station and offering sweeping views of the iconic and picturesque Lumphini Park, the 244-key lifestyle hotel is set within the buzzy, multitower One Bangkok mega complex in Pathum Wan (which also houses The Ritz-Carlton Bangkok). Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport is thirty minutes away on a smooth traffic day, while Lumphini MRT station is a 6-minute walk away.
Nearby hotels include Dusit Thani Bangkok; SO/ Bangkok; Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok; and Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel Bangkok. Notable Andaz properties in Asia include Andaz Bali, Andaz Singapore and Andaz Tokyo.
Best for: Travellers seeking a modern lifestyle hotel with strong design credentials and a stylish aesthetic; calming park views and direct access to the One Bangkok development for shopping and dining; and a commendable a la carte and buffet breakfast experience.
The must-dos (if any): Have an alfresco breakfast at Jing/Andaz Terrace, enjoy social hour at Andaz Lounge, have sundown bites and tipples at Piscari, drop by secret speakeasy Piscari Prive for a nightcap.
ANDAZ ONE BANGKOK
Designed by Thailand’s leading interior design firm PIA (behind The Ritz-Carlton Bangkok, The Athenee Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok and Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit), the hotel’s “Vertical Neighborhood” concept draws its inspirations from both Bangkok’s vibrant streets and hidden alleys as well as the Thai Mid-Century movement defined by elegant arches and sensuous curves. Striking neighborhood photography is featured in corridors and guestrooms, while everyday decorative elements such as traditional Thai window grilles and latticed metal shophouse gates feature in the design of the hotel’s hallways and lobbies.
Art is a big part of Andaz One Bangkok. Thai artist Pinaree Sanpitak’s mixed-media installation “Pocket of Nature, 2025” installation greets guests upon arrival, while an absolutely massive colourful textile tapestry of knots and ruffles by Ploenchan Vinyaratn behind the reception counters on the 6th floor lobby pays tributes to street grids, tangled electrical wires and the clock tower in Lumphini Park. Other artists whose works are presented on-site include Anish Kapoor and Alex Face, while the rotational collection of pieces in the lobby (best appreciated during social hour as you walk around sipping your complimentary free-flow red and white wine) currently showcases pieces from visual artist Nakrob Moonmanas.
In terms of wellness, the hotel offers a sheltered infinity swimming pool with cabanas overlooking the park, an adjacent fitness centre with Matrix Fitness equipment as well as a poolside indoor lounge for quiet contemplative moments (or therapeutic gossip). There are also sauna and steam room facilities.

KING BED, PARK VIEW
Offering floor-to-ceiling windows with calming, unobstructed views of Lumphini Park, the 42sqm King Bed, Park View is decked in blonde woods, sunny shades of mustard and sienna as well as geometric motifs, with photographic prints depicting scenes from the neighborhood on the walls as well as window-side curvy sofas and banquette seating for dining and work functions. The open-concept wardrobe comes with chic navy-blue bathrobes, while the automated Japanese toilet is separate from the main bathroom.
The pantry offers Nespresso coffee as well as tea from Thai brand Araksa, while the minibar offers complimentary snacks and non-alcoholic beverages which are replenished once daily (think coconut juice, Thai milk tea and mango gummies) as well as chargeable bottles of spirits, wines and beers.
The marble bathroom features a cavernous walk-in rainfall shower, a Dyson hairdryer and a box of bathroom amenities with an eyecatching modular packaging design that depicts pagodas and nature elements when the boxes are arranged together. Shower products are from BYREDO’s rather lovely Eleventh Hour range.

DINING
Breakfast is a semi-buffet served at Jǐng, the Chinese restaurant on the lobby level which specialises in antonese and Sichuan cuisine, with additional indoor and al fresco seating at the adjacent Andaz Terrace. The extensive buffet comprises a variety of pastries such as Thai Tea Brioche and Pineapple Danish; mini salads such as Pomelo Salad and Chickpea Salad with Olive Oil; bite-sized snacks such as Pork Jerky and Vegetable Spring Roll; and Asian specialties such as Thai-style Char Siu Pork with Rice, Vegan Tofu Curry, a particularly spicy Tom Yum Seafood Soup, Shrimps Fried Rice and Stir-fried Chinese Noodle with Vegetable.
Elsewhere, the a la carte menu includes X.O. Sauce Omelet, Egg Benedict (grilled ham, spinach, sourdough), Egg Royale (smoked salmon), Fish Congee (chinese doughnut), Moo Ping (pork skewer, sticky rice), Braised Beef Brisket Noodle, Pancake (stewed banana in coconut milk) as well as dim sum selections such as Pork Siu Mai, Pork Rib Black Bean and Vegetable Dumpling. The Steamed Egg was a revelation, playing like a Tom Yum Chawanmushi steeped in shrimpy sedimentation and being mischievously chilli padi-spicy, while the Pork and Shrimp Wonton was paired with springy, delicious noodles that evaporated down my throat in seconds.
At some point, the kitchen team went from table to table offering the bite-sized, fluffy Salted Egg Toast.

After breakfast service, Jǐng’s menu offers a variety of Cantonese and Sichuan dishes – think Typhoon-Shelter Tiger Prawn, Poached Chicken, Crispy Sweet and Sour Pork, Poached Red Spotted Grouper (Sichuan pepper, chili paste) and Crispy Fried Pigeon. The crunchy Marinated Sea Whelk (soy sauce, green Sichuan pepper) evoked thoughts of Hainanese chicken rice chilli, while the Chinese Cabbage (Jinhua chinese ham, chicken broth) was a creamy, nourishing pleasure. The Chocolate Fondant also deserves a mention, hiding a naughty, peppercorn-tinged secret in its liquid core.
Elsewhere, the Mapo Tofu with Wagyu Beef (Sichuan chili paste, minced wagyu beef) was decidedly untraditional, being gentle on the numbingness whilst having a pronounced beefy richness, and in a similar vein the Wok-Fried Chicken Dried Chili played more like a peppercorn-teased chicken chunk dish than the usual style involving an abundance of deep-fried bits.
The restaurant also offers customised cocktails where you selection your tea infusion such as Mountain Black (shiso, pineapple), Peppermint Pure (garden fresh cordial) and Oolong Reverie (lemongrass, kaffir lime); choose your spirit from gin, whisky, vodka and rum; and finally select your cocktail style (martini, sour or highball).

Perched on the hotel’s highest level, Mediterranean rooftop dining and bar concept Piscari is the hotel’s buzziest dining destination, with the clientele comprising after-hours office workers having a drink at the bar, couples on a romantic date as well as elaborately-dressed ladies out on a night of posing for glamorous photos. Highlights include the Baby Cos (grilled king crab leg, turmeric dressing), Mediterranean Red Prawn Carpaccio, Grilled Octopus Leg (spiced potato espuma, chorizo), Clam Cavatelli Pasta (tomato, olive, shellfish jus), Pan-Seared Seabass (artichoke ‘barigoule’) and Bouillabaisse (grouper, fennel), with dessert options such as the boozy Coupe Kir Royale (blackcurrant sorbet, champagne) and the rich Pistachio Mille-Feuille. The bar’s signature cocktails – think Honey & Hemlock (whisky, amaro averna, wild honey, Campari foam) and Golden Burst (gin, lillet blanc, suze, passion fruit) – are on the breezier, accessible side, but guests can also go for classics such as Boulevardier and Dirty Martini.
The restaurant also features a hidden speakeasy, Piscari Prive, which offers a variety of cocktails incorporating European spirits and Asian ingredients.

CONCLUSION
The hotel’s convenient setting within the buzzy One Bangkok complex, the glorious Lumphini Park views and the social media-friendly chic art gallery aesthetic make the hotel a great option for those seeking modern and upscale accommodation simultaneously far enough from and close enough to Bangkok’s madding crowds.
I’d come back, just for their breakfast.
