| Why you should | The 26sqm King Executive Room Castle View is fairly spacious, with fantastically close-up views of Osaka Castle in the distance.
Breakfast at Sen is suitably varied, featuring local specialities such as Takoyaki with Osaka-mon and bonito shavings, Assorted Kushikatsu, Okonomiyaki, Kasu Udon, Omelet with Octopus, and Kyoto-style Grilled Red Fish alongside Steamed White Fish with Cream Sauce, Pudding, assorted flavours of soft serve ice cream dispensed from a machine as well as a Chocolate Marble Loaf Cake presented only to Hilton Honors Gold and Diamond members. The indoor swimming pool was a good touch. |
| Why you shouldn’t | The Executive Lounge‘s evening cocktail offerings were rather modest – think Shrimp and Short Pasta Cocktail, Marinated Octopus Pepperoncino, Mentaiko Garlic Toast as well as Almond and Grape Jelly paired with Pol Messer Blanc de Blancs Brut and a small selection of wines from the Andrew Peace Batch 106 Winemakers Notes range.
The trade-off for serenity also means an absence of amenities near the hotel save for the odd restaurant and convenience store closer to the train station. |
| Miscellaneous information | The hotel recently introduced breakfast service at the Executive Lounge on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 4 October 2025 onwards.
Osaka Castle is just a short walk away. The Symphony Hall, Osaka Waterfront Park, Forest of Memorial Trees, Glico Museum and Umeda Station are within six kilometres, while Maishima Sports Island and Universal City Station Japan are 20 minutes away by car. |
