Chendol and Pineapple Tart Ice Cream with Waffle. If I were a teacher and the two balls were my pupils, the gula melaka ice cream gets a solid B for its faithful (albeit slavish) re-creation of the real deal, pandan jelly noodles and atap chee inclusion and all. However, the pineapple tart deserves an A- and an Edusave Award for bringing me to unexpected places, magically reconstructing the sinfully buttery crust in my mouth yet adding the surprising chew of slightly bitter candied pineapple. 3.7/5
